The Goole Youth Voice is instrumental in shaping the direction of GYA our youth voice group was established way back in 2016 and shaped the activities in our first Summer Activities programme and many other aspects.

Members of the Youth group led the development of our GYA website, suggested the look and content and one of its members becoming the lead person to "construct" the site.

Over the past nine years we have asked young people to lead consultation and feedback sessions, recruited two young people to become our social media assistants.

Group members have also been regular attenders at the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Youth Council and on two occasions chairing the meetings.

Youth Voice members joined us on a trip to see the Wigan Youth Zone and take part in a wide range of activities that are not available to them in Goole currently, our aim is to seek funding to establish a Goole Youth Zone/Hub, a provision that is wholly for young people and designed around their needs and wishes.
